Interest Groups

Our branch has 14 special interest groups, seven of the interest groups meet either in the evening or weekend in various locations in Orange and Seminole Counties:

Booklovers Reading Groups:
Ten book discussion groups meet monthly either in the afternoon or the evening. Members discuss books they have selected from a ballot.
 
Cooking Globally Group:
Cook international food together. Meets quarterly on Friday nights.

Lunching Out Group:
Meets monthly at interesting, non-chain, family owned local
restaurants.

Dining Couples Group:
Meets in members' homes at night during October, December, February,
and April. 
 
Dining-out at Night Group:
Members dine in local restaurants monthly.

Dining-in Group:
Meets monthly for an evening dinner in members' homes. The menu is set
by the hostess.

Foreign Affairs Group:
Discusses selections monthly from the "Great Decisions" handbook, published by the Foreign Policy Association on a Sunday afternoon once a month.

Foreign Film Group:
Meets monthly to view a film and discuss it.

Museums and Galleries Group:
Takes local or out-of-town tours usually followed with lunch.

PACE Interest Group:
Coordinates and develops projects between our AAUW branch and the PACE Center for Girls.

Mah Jongg Group:
Beginners and experienced players play weekly for fun.

Theatre Group:
Attends local theater performances in assorted venues usually in the evening.

Meets monthly to discuss current events.

Walking Group:
Takes scenic walks with educational commentary each month followed by breakfast or lunch.
